Dear Readers,
I am delighted to welcome you to this edition of the Immigration Advisers New Zealand Newsletter for 2025! The past few months have been nothing short of exhilarating for our team as we continue to support our clients in their incredible journeys. Seeing our clients arrive in New Zealand and take meaningful steps toward achieving their goals fills us with immense pride.
While I share these thoughts, our Honorable Prime Minister, John Luxon, is wrapping up his visit to India. This important trip holds the potential to shape the future of the education and immigration sectors, and I look forward to sharing my insights on the outcomes in a separate message soon.
We began the New Year on a wonderful note by hosting our newly arrived international students and their families at our Auckland office. It was a heartfelt event that allowed us to welcome them in person while giving these students a chance to network and make new friends. The overwhelming success of this event has inspired us to organize many more in the future. Don’t forget, we now have private Facebook groups where we’ll be posting updates about upcoming events and activities. If you haven’t joined yet, I encourage you to subscribe today so you don’t miss out!
I’m also thrilled to share some fantastic achievements from the past year. Immigration Advisers New Zealand Ltd received multiple accolades for our continued efforts to collaborate with world-ranked New Zealand universities and education providers. Additionally, Immigration New Zealand’s statistics revealed that our student visa approval rates for applicants from India, Nepal, the Philippines, and Sri Lanka significantly exceeded the market average for 2024. This achievement reflects the dedication, experience, and hard work of our entire team.
This edition of our newsletter is brimming with important updates. Immigration New Zealand has introduced amendments to the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) category, which bring relief to both employers and migrant workers. These changes include interim visas with work rights for those transitioning from student or other work visas. Furthermore, visitors on holiday in New Zealand can now work remotely for overseas companies, recognizing the shifts in global work patterns. Exciting updates also include adjustments to the Active Investor Plus Visa, making it more attractive to potential investors, and the addition of primary teacher roles to the Straight to Residence pathway.
I hope you enjoy reading this edition, packed with essential insights and updates. Here’s to another year of growth, success, and collaboration!
